Best and worst drinks for intermittent fasting. In this video I go through my favourite drinks to have when I'm fasting. These are drinks that can make intermittent fasting a lot easier, more enjoyable and some of them even have the benefit of boosting metabolism. Some drinks that I don't recommend having during intermittent fasting include bone broth, calorie free soda, coconut water and bulletproof coffee.
A lot of people argue that any drink that is not water will break a fast while others love having things like a cup of black coffee and find that they get the results they want while making the fast more enjoyable. I encourage you to find what works best for your own situation and body goals.
The drinks I mention in this video which I like are:
- Water and water mixed with other things such as pink salt, lemon, apple cider vinegar and spices.
- All types of tea but keep an eye on the list of ingredients to avoid certain things like malt and barley which are high in carbs, and so can break your fast.
- Black coffee
- Sparkling water
Drinks I don't like to have during my fast:
- Bone broth
- Diet soda
- Bulletproof coffee
- Coconut water
